We transform lives!

We shape the destiny of individuals!

We develop nation's human resources!

Career Education Research & Training Council (CERTC) is a nodal agency setup under section 8 of MCA, Government of India for making policies and planning at national level to meet the urgent requirements of career education and bridge the gap between degrees and career competencies. CERTC has developed authentic, appropriate and effective career development tools and learning management system to cultivate a culture of “career by choice, not by chance”. We are embedding career into education.,

At CERTC we began to reinvent career education from the ground up starting with few assumptions: That the career decision-making services available to students at school and college are virtually nonexistent and pathetically ineffective. Perhaps approx. 94% of us are in the wrong career or underemployed. This is an unrecognised national disgrace in a country like India. This includes not only the people who have obviously failed to find a suitable career, but many others who are in a job that only partially fits their talents, interests and working preferences.

We developed career decision-making programs and techniques that are very successful in guiding people through the morass of uncertainty to the best possible career selections. These programs combine in-depth assessment of natural abilities, aptitudes and work attitudes. Our career development programs enable people to have the most successful, productive, and fulfilling lives possible.

We propagate the philosophy of “Be what you want to be”. Students and adults get clear on everything that really matters to them. They are introduced to important factors that they never considered, but play a large role in day-to-day career satisfaction and success. Then, they put all the pieces together into a practical, doable career choice, a new direction that they designed themselves.

CERTC originated holistic career education more than thirty years ago and created an innovative methodology that leads to unparalleled results. We are practical idealists and confident that our career guidance programs are the best in the world. A strong commitment to research and improvement ensures that we stay the best.

Our activities take place on an individual or group basis and face-to-face or distance mode. They include career development techniques, self-assessment tools, organising studies, work search and transition services.

Our research based holistic view of the career sector enables us to develop resources improving the quality of career decision making by students and their parents. We provide authentic and impartial career guidance which opens the doors of success and shapes the destiny of the individuals.

Providing exceptional value in career management has been a cornerstone objective of the organisation. Our programme and advisors have just ONE specific focus “Excellence in Career Development”. We live and breathe career guidance; nothing else gets in the way.

Lifelong Guidance is provided within education and training, for and with the labour market, and requires delivery approaches that are tailored to the target client group e.g. students and adults.

“Guidance facilitates people throughout their lives to manage their own educational, training, occupational, personal, social and life choices so that they reach their full potential and contribute to the development of a better society”.

“Guidance in schools refers to a range of learning experiences provided in a developmental sequence that assist students to develop self-management skills which will lead to effective choices and decisions about their lives. It encompasses the three separate but interlinked areas of personal and social development, educational guidance and career guidance”. “School shall use its available resources to ensure that students have access to appropriate guidance to assist them in their educational and career choices”.
